AIRLINE INFORMATION- When making your airline reservaions, be sure to fly into KONA (KOA). There are non-stop flights from Phoenix on US AIRWAYS.

CAR RENTAL- The best rates are online at Costco Travel. Mandi's parents reserved an Avis Intermediate car for 8 days including tax for $295.61. Dollar Car Rental has a desk at the Fairmont if you just want a car for the day.

You may want to consider travel insurance.  As long as you purchase it within 24 hours of making your airline reservations it's very reasonable.
