Matt and I were introduced in August 2008 through a mutual friend at Poppe's Martini Bar in Bellingham. While I was enjoying what I thought was going to be a girls night out, Matt made a surprise appearance. Instantly, he made me laugh and a quick friendship developed. Initially I was very hesitant to start a relationship being a single mom, full time student and living with my parents. However, through the right mixture of patience and perseverence Matt was eventually able to convince me to give it a chance ;) Thank God!!

After several more meetings and lots more laughter Matt was introduced to my daughter Emma whom he instantly fell in love with. Although it took some time and effort to blend lifestyles, soon the three of us knew we wanted to become a family and decided to live under one roof.  Emma and I moved into Matt's home in Fairhaven just after Christmas 2010.

Just a few months later Matt and I discovered that we would soon be adding another member to our family. Quickly we realized our growing family needed a little more space. We were extremely lucky to be able to purchase a beautiful new home in a perfect neighborhood in July 2011.  

In October of 2011, Jack Henry Fleming was welcomed into our lives. We would all agree that Jack is the final piece of the puzzle making our family complete.

Matt and I still can't believe our incredible good fortune! We truly feel like two of the luckiest people on Earth to have found such happiness and can't wait to celebrate and share our joy with all of you!

Not only do we feel blessed to have found one another but we also feel so fortunate to have all of you in our lives! Matt and I cannot even begin to express how grateful we are for our family and friends whose love and support mean the world to us! Each of you have touched our lives in an unforgettable way and we are thrilled that you will be with us to celebrate such an important event in our lives!

We would like to especially thank our parents (Kathy & Steve Barrett, Jim & Leslie Fleming and Al & Cheryl Ludington) for everything they do each & every day and for making this incredible celebration possible! 

Our Reception will be held at the beautiful Bellingham Golf & Country Club starting with an outdoor cocktail reception and fresh local seafood out on the deck. Let's hope for some great Washington weather! 

One week after our celebration we will be heading to the gorgeous Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui for our honeymoon.  There we are planning on enjoying snorkelling, paddle boarding, drinks poolside, pampering at the spa and most of all relaxation and quality time together. It will be tough to leave the kiddos behind but I'm sure we will be able to have a little fun without them!
